Refund Policy

Lunarcana subscriptions (monthly and annual) are billed up front and renew automatically. We do not silently refund partially used cycles — the policy below is the full picture, written so the rules are the same for everyone, with anti-abuse limits stated up front rather than enforced quietly behind the scenes.

1 · Seven-day full refund (no usage)

Within 7 days of the original purchase, if you have not used any paid-tier feature, you may request a full refund. Email support@lunarcana.app from the address tied to your Google account.

"Used a paid-tier feature" means any of:

— Generated a reading on a mid (three-card, four-elements) or advanced (any of the 29 ritual / inquiry / life / overview / healing) spread.

— Performed an angle re-roll or style re-roll on any reading.

— Exported a reading as PDF, SVG, or PNG. (JSON export is available to all tiers and does not count.)

— Received any daily card email from your opted-in subscription channel. (The one-time welcome email triggered by signing up does not count.)

— Generated a Wrapped year-end export.

— Successfully redeemed a referral code attached to this subscription, or had your own referral code redeemed by another user.

2 · Fourteen-day pro-rated refund (with usage)

Within 14 days of the original purchase you may request a partial refund computed as:

refund = amount paid − (days elapsed × daily rate) − non-recoverable payment-processor fees.

Daily rate equals the monthly price ÷ 30, or the annual price ÷ 365. Non-recoverable fees are the ~5% + $0.50 retained by Creem when a charge is reversed — these never come back to us, so we cannot return them to you.

Annual-plan floor: for annual subscriptions, the deduction is the greater of (days elapsed × daily rate) or one full month at the current monthly price. This prevents an annual plan from functioning as a 13-day low-cost trial of advanced features.

Example A — annual at $109 refunded on day 30. Daily rate = $109/365 ≈ $0.30. Deduction = max(30 × $0.30, $14.99) = $14.99. Refund ≈ $109 − $14.99 − $5.95 fee = $88.06.

Example B — monthly at $14.99 refunded on day 15. Daily rate ≈ $0.50. Refund ≈ $14.99 − (15 × $0.50) − $1.25 fee = $6.24.

3 · After fourteen days

We do not issue refunds beyond the 14-day window. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time from your subscription portal (Profile → Manage subscription); your Grimoire access remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then quietly returns to Seeker.

4 · Frequency limit

Sections 1 and 2 may together be exercised at most once per 12 months per customer. We identify a customer by Google subject ID, billing email, and payment method — any match counts.

If you have already used a §1 or §2 refund within the past 12 months, your subsequent subscriptions are not eligible for those routes. The §6 always-eligible exceptions (duplicate charge, billing error, prolonged outage) are unaffected by this limit.

5 · Why pro-rate by usage

Every reading streams a call to an external AI provider that we have already paid for. A no-questions refund after heavy use would mean those costs land on the people who actually pay. Pro-rating protects the readers who fund the ritual for everyone else — it is not a punishment, it is a fairness rule.

6 · Always-eligible exceptions

Regardless of timing, usage, or §4 frequency limit, we issue a full refund for:

— Duplicate or accidental charges from the same card within 24 hours.

— A billing error on our side (wrong currency, wrong plan tier).

— Service unavailability of more than 72 consecutive hours that prevents you from using the paid features.

Email support@lunarcana.app with the order ID; we usually reply within 48 hours.

7 · Chargebacks

Please email support@lunarcana.app before contacting your bank. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first attempting resolution with us bypasses this policy and triggers the following:

— Your account will be suspended pending review and may be permanently terminated under our Terms of Service.

— Any future Lunarcana subscription on the same Google subject ID, billing email, or payment method becomes ineligible for the §1 and §2 refund routes.

— Any referral bonus that flowed from the disputed payment is revoked.

— You remain liable for the chargeback-related fees the merchant of record retains (typically $15–25 per dispute).

Bona-fide unauthorised use of your card is excluded from the above — please tell us as soon as you notice the charge so we can issue a refund without escalating to a dispute.

8 · Suspected abuse — the residual right to decline

Where we detect fraud, abuse, or systematic policy arbitrage — including but not limited to multiple accounts on the same payment method, self-referral chains, repeated subscribe-and-refund cycles, or material misstatement of usage — Lunarcana reserves the right to decline a refund request and document the decision.

This residual right does not override any non-disclaimable consumer right you hold under your local law (the EU Consumer Rights Directive cooling-off period, the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, the Australian Consumer Law, or equivalent statutes). Where a statute grants more, the statute wins.

9 · Creem as merchant of record

Your card statement reads "CREEM*LUNARCANA". Creem is the merchant of record for every Lunarcana subscription and processes all refunds on our instruction. Approved refunds typically land back on your card within 5–10 business days.

Nothing in this policy waives any non-disclaimable consumer right you hold under your local law — the EU Consumer Rights Directive cooling-off period, the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, the Australian Consumer Law, or equivalent statutes elsewhere. Where the statute grants more than this policy, the statute wins.
